In the spacious Air France & KLM lounge at Schiphol airport in The Netherlands, the challenge was how to create a sense of privacy and structure in a vast open space.
The architect chose to use black Rockfon Color-all Charcoal ceiling tiles throughout the space in order to make it feel less overwhelming. White Rockfon Contour baffles were hung in flowing lines like airplane contrails to add motion and provide visual directional cues.
"The use of colour is never neutral. All colours convey functional and emotional messages to occupants."
