A Combination of the Classic and the Modern to Guarantee a Unique Stay
The 5-star hotel El Llorenç is located in the old town of Palma de Mallorca, in a great neighbourhood called La Calatrava. It is in a great location close to the cathedral and has amazing views of the sea. In 2019, this intriguing and warmly welcomed design hotel debuted to the public, proving how well it combines luxury, style, and comfort.
The Swedish designer Magnus Ehrland was looking for a timeless and authentic style that would endure over time. By combining different tiles with an Arabian star pattern, adding botanical designs and different vegetation, Ehrland achieved an extravagant, luxurious and unique design. Additionally, the hotel has special features, such as an 11th-century Arab oven, which was found during construction.
Hotel Services with the Best Guest Experience
Combining the peculiarities of classic design with some innovative aspects, Ehrland succeeded in seamlessly combining the original hotel façade with the lavish and exotic interior design. The Llorenç has thirty-three rooms. All of them have extraordinary views of the Bay of Palma and the Parc de la Mar. They also have a timeless design that combines different warm and calm tones with the recurring Arabic star pattern floor.
The hotel has two restaurants, Tannur and Dins. Tannur is a more casual option and offers typical Mallorcan and Mediterranean food throughout the day. On the other hand, Dins, which has a Michelin Star, offers a gastronomic experience by the renowned island chef, Santi Taura. This restaurant offers a more intimate atmosphere for diners. It also has a show-cooking counter, where you can see the chefs while they prepare the food. Plus, there is an exhibition of the Arab oven from the 11th century.
Another service the hotel offers is a spa that takes you back to the Arab hammams and past times of the Calatrava neighbourhood. This neighbourhood still has characteristic components of Arab design and architecture. The spa has a 14-metre heated pool, a sauna, and a Turkish bath. This will allow users to disconnect from the outside world and enjoy a more comfortable experience inside the hotel.
On the roof of the impressive Cathedral of Mallorca, there is an oasis within the city. This oasis has the longest infinity pool in Palma and different leisure and relaxation spaces. Guests can enjoy cocktails with exceptional views of either the sea or the city.
Acoustics Aligned with Design
The hotel's common areas need acoustic treatment to control the noise and ensure the comfort and well-being of guests. Rockfon® Mono® Acoustic was chosen for the restaurants, spa and reception because of its high design standards. This solution fit and matched the aesthetics of the hotel perfectly.
