Chicago Metallic™ grids and many Rockfon accessories, tiles, wall panels, baffles and islands are intentionally finished in aesthetically pleasing 'universal' white surface colours.
Historically these colours have been found to integrate well with the many white colours of service units on the market.
RAL 9010 is an often-referenced white colour. There are many interpretations of this colour - few of which are identical.
Experience shows that Rockfon Chicago Metallic 001 white grid and Rockfon white tiles can successfully integrate with many of the components that claim to be finished in RAL 9003, RAL 9010, and RAL 9016 and RAL 9003 white colours.
However, Rockfon white tiles and Chicago Metallic™ 001 white grid are not claimed to be RAL 90109003, RAL 9016 9010 or RAL 9003 9016 and it is always recommended that customers should compare samples of the intended service items with grid components etc. to be sure of suitability and compatibility.
The nearest NCS colour reference to 001 white Chicago Metallic™ grid is NCS 1000.N.
The gloss factor for these grids is typically 15 +/- 3. The gloss factor for Matt white 11 grid is 3.
The nearest NCS colour reference to Rockfon white tiles, e.g. MediCare Plus®, is NCS S 0500-N. The gloss factor for these tiles is approximately 3.
The nearest RAL colour reference to Chicago Metallic™ 001 white grid is RAL 9003.
The nearest RAL colour reference to Rockfon tiles is RAL 9016. However, Rockfon does not claim that Chicago Metallic™white 001 grid and Rockfon white tiles are equivalent to any RAL or NCS colour.
Samples of both Rockfon tiles and Rockfon Chicago Metallic™ grid are readily available for customers to assess the compatibility of their intended service items with Rockfon ceiling systems.
On a general note: Some Rockfon tiles and Rockfon Chicago Metallic™grids are available in a standard range of colours. For some products, non standard, special colours can be produced at additional cost provided there is sufficient quantity requirement and lead in period.
